8th Annual SCLOS Convention

What a wonderful, beautiful day in the South.  We had many great speakers who spoke about the issues concerning Southerners today.

We had some great banjo picking and a fantastic meal.

We are a fellowship.  We are united.  We are Southern.

For Freedom.  We are rising.

8th Annual South Carolina League of the South Convention

On Saturday, 10 November, 2007, at 10:00 AM we will hold our eighth annual South Carolina League of the South Convention at Crystal Lake Hall.

From I-26 take Exit 115 onto Hwy 321 toward Gaston and Swansea. Near the top of the hill you will see the Cayce Southern Patriot Shop on your right, next to Hardees. The Crystal Lake Celebration Hall is exactly three miles from the shop as you continue on Highway 321. Follow the four lane highway until you see our flags on the left.

The road will be lined with our flags.

Coffee and donuts will be served beforehand, and we will pause for dinner at noon. Hamburgers and hotdogs, baked beans, coleslaw and chips will be served. The meal will be offered at $5.00 for adults and $2.50 for children, drinks included. At 3:00 PM we will sing Dixie.

Please don’t miss this meeting. In recent years we have enjoyed a wide array of excellent speakers while renewing our determination and getting to know each other better. This year we will continue the tradition, even as the political situation becomes more threatening.

We will learn about secession movements in other states. We will discuss our annual events. We will talk about our flaggings, strategies, campaigns and expectations.

During the recent League of the South Conference in Chattanooga, a meeting took place at which the Chairmen of the State League Chapters discussed their projects and concerns.

I spoke about our confrontational style. our annual events, our flaggings, our stores, and Secession Hill. But I sat down without going into detail or covering many of the other things we do, because the list is so disproportionally long compared to what other States have accomplished. South Carolina’s success is unique.

Other Chairmen came up to me after the meeting asking for advice. The consensus was that South Carolina should produce a manual for other States to follow.

You have much to be proud of.

The League of the South, and especially the SCLoS have become quite well known, and with that recognition the idea of secession is, once again, entering the public consciousness as a salient political idea. Soon it will become a hotly debated topic. You, League members and supporters, are forcing the political debate to include the idea of secession, paving the way for ultimate victory.
